November, Untitled
I lie on the line between
here and the end of the world,
with the blue-setting sun
on the western horizon.

The Results
A “found-words” poem based on James Altucher’s “How to be THE LUCKIEST GUY ON THE PLANET in 4 Easy Steps”:
Coincidences
start to happen, I
start to feel lucky, ideas
start flowing, more
health, more
money, more
luck, more
people are smiling at me.

Until Next Time
I hike into the sun
upon the ridge
with dusk reflecting green
upon the spider webs
beyond the ridge
awaits the night
awakes the darkness
I bid adieu
unto the sun
upon the ridge.

Tiny Flame
I’m a candle in the black
attracting moths, and their wings
and their wings beat hurricanes.
I’ll burn down the house
to battle the dark,
light me up lest the fire go out.

To Be A Bird, I Must Grow Wings
I want to
rip the rug
out from under
me. I’m scared
to fall, but
dream of flying.

Road Running
Raindrops are falling
like sweat
as they flow down the creek
down my neck.
Running up County Road 623
my feet
bringing my words
back to me.

What Is, Whatever
What’s a “good poem?”
You tell me.
My words are whatever
you need them to be.

Second Avenue Sunset
Traffic lights
streak streets
of green; artwork moves
like traffic
moving me.

This Train Will Run Express to Harvard Avenue
Am I back
somewhere strange
as I see with new eyes
what I
passed by before? Am I home?
Different, but the same;
what if I had remained?
Would I feel out of place
in a world, erased
in memory lives
like I did, like I do
now?

Searching For Answers I Know Not Myself
I am all
I pretend to be
maybe, and
maybe
I’m not.
I haven’t decided.
